P90X Challenge - Are you ready??

What makes P90X Challenge Groups so effective? I’ve always been a big believer in challenges because it highly motivates people, and I and everyone else taking part of it always tend to commit ourselves even more when we’re a part of one. When you have a small group, communication is much easier, and you’re able to hold each other accountable and push each other even more than being part of a large group. Plus, there is always some serious competition going on, forcing you to push even harder to achieve better results. When you have competition, encouragement, accountability, and support from 5 other people, it literally is a recipe for success! From the challenge I was a part of back in October, it’s unbelievable the type of results that some people got, and they even mentioned to me that there was no way they could have gotten those results without being part of an exclusive group. If you want to achieve your fitness goals, you’re not going to find a better way than with these challenge groups!

How do I join a challenge group? The first thing that you have to do is make me your coach if I’m not already. As you already know (or may not know I guess), it’s free to make me your coach (click here to do so). By making me your coach, you will have constant access to me for questions and support and I will be checking in daily with each challenge group.

Next, you have to be using Shakeology and a Beachbody program like P90X, Insanity, or yes, even Turbofire for you women out there! The reason Shakeology is a requirement is because it’s a product that I’ve been using for over 6 months now, am 100% confident that works, and have recommended to literally everyone I know, including my friends and family. If you want to get the best results possible, you have to be using Shakeology as a meal replacement every day and combine it with a healthy diet and a workout program. I know for a fact that you will get results by doing all of these together because I have and know those who have do as well will get the best results!

Beachbody just actually released new Challenge Packs that combine Shakeology, a workout program, and a free month’s Club Membership at a discount price for purchasing together. Next, once you purchase a Challenge Pack or reach all the requirements to join a group, email me at dkurtz06@gmail.com and I will pair you with 4 other people who are going through the same program and have the same goals as you, create an exclusive team Facebook group, and then you will get started!

What will I need to do once I’m in a Challenge Group? The first thing that you will need to do is share your goals with everyone else in the group, including me. Once in the group, you will need to post daily that you’ve completed your workout, followed the diet, and ask any questions or provide support to the other group members. While going through your journey, you’re going to want to make sure you take progress photos every 15 days and post them in the group as well. This way you can show each other that you’re getting results and staying committed! If you want, you can hold certain challenge within your group as well, such as who loses the most weight during the 90 days.

Are there any prizes? YES! Beachbody will be giving away daily, monthly, quarterly, and even a grand prize of $100,000 for those with the best results. (learn more about these prizes on the Beachbody Challenge site).

I’m confident that you’re not going to find a better way to get results than you would by being part of a Beachbody Challenge Group! Unlimited support, constant encouragement, friendly competition, and some added prizes will motivate you to commit yourself for the entire 90 days and get into the best shape of your life. I can’t wait to help you guys reach your goals and again, I can’t tell you how PUMPED I am to get these groups rolling! LET’S DO THIS!!!!

My Transformation UPDATE!!!! 9/21/2011

I thought I would update my story since it has been a while since I have wrote anything.  I hope to update this regularlly from now on, so please FOLLOW along!!  :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have worked out on and off ever since leaving high school. My longest length of time working out was about 8 months back in college at a local gym. Although I did get moderate results, nothing that made me want to keep going. After college I stopped working out and at one point got up to about 205 lbs, my heaviest ever. I started to eat better but did not really start working out and got down to about 191. My 27 birthday rolled around and I decided to make a change.
In February 2009 I purchase Power 90 after thinking that I would not be able to really get the full benefit from P90X since I was pretty out of shape. I do not regret that decision. Although I did not really follow the diet guidelines, I did eat fairly healthy. I also did not work out 6 days a week most weeks. I followed Power 90 level 1-2, then went to 3-4, and finally 5-6. As you can see from my photo's, it WORKED!! I went from about 191 to 184, lost about 2 inches around the waist and really became overall stronger.
I then started P90X June 15th, 2010 and completed the 90 days with excellent results but I wanted more.  So I continued my fitness journey with P90X+, Insanity, another round of P90X, and currently a P90X, P90X+, Insanity, One on One hybrid and currently am staying pretty constant at 175 lbs for my 6' frame.  I have also incorporated Shakeology this past month which I LOVE! My hybrid routine will get over just about time for P90X2 to arrive and I cannot wait!!  Keep pushing play!

July 23rd - Legs and Back

Worked out early today and that probably was a mistake.  I couldn't really push myself like I can in the evening and I was wore out!!  However, I still completed it and feel great.

This weekend I will be back in my hometown for the 4-H fair.  It is one of the largest county fairs in America.  I really have to watch what I eat because elephant ears are delicious and so are the fresh hot doughnuts!!  So I will be taking tomorrow as my rest day and then work out, Kenpo X style on Sunday when I return home.

July 22nd - Yoga X and Gavin's swim lessons.

Tonight was Gavin's, our son, last swim lesson.  He is 9 months old and REALLY likes the backstroke!!  It only lasts half of an hour but he enjoys it.  Sad to see it end already.

On to P90X and Yoga X which is extreme!  I never tried yoga before P90X because I thought it was stupid :)  I was very wrong!  Yoga is great.  There is not a ton of movement but you sweat a TON.  Yoga X is 1.5 hours and works you hard.  I continue to get better at the poses although they are still very difficult.  Yoga blocks are my friend on some of the moves.  The thing to keep in mind is don't give up and don't give in.  Keep pushing it to the best of your ability.  If you keep doing that, the pay off will come and the moves will become much easier.

That's all for tonight.
